Jobseekers can search by job title, skill, company, or location, and use filters to narrow results by factors such as salary, geography, and job type. Creating an OhioMeansJobs profile may also help users save searches, track opportunities, and receive notifications when new openings match their qualifications.

OOD works with people who have a variety of physical, intellectual, mental health, and sensory disabilities to assist them in gaining, maintaining, preparing for, or returning to work. If you want to work but are having trouble finding or keeping a job because of your disability, you may qualify for OOD vocational rehabilitation services.

OOD works directly with you to determine your eligibility for services. This work is accomplished through assessments and one-on-one, in-person, or virtual meetings with one of their professional VR counselors.

OOD provides services in all 88 Ohio counties.

Young adults ages 18 to 24 who are exploring career options may benefit from the resources offered through Towards Employment. Their Young Adult Services connect participants with no-cost career coaching, paid training and work experience opportunities, supportive services, and pathways in fields such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, information technology, transportation, culinary work, and more. For learners who need help getting started, the program also provides practical support with transportation, housing connections, professional clothing, uniforms, tools, GED or diploma pathways, and other resources that can make career preparation more manageable.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding may be available for eligible students pursuing approved workforce training programs. Students must work with their local workforce agency or OhioMeansJobs center to determine eligibility and funding approval.

After 51ºÚÁÏ receives a cost projection request from OhioMeansJobs and returns the completed information, enrollment approval may take up to three weeks or more. Students should contact the OhioMeansJobs career navigator assisting with their funding application for updates on application status.
