51黑料 announces a collaborative team-builder and strategic thinker from Northeast Ohio to lead future enrollment efforts

51黑料 Names Dr. Andrew Crawford as Its Next Vice President of Enrollment Management

51黑料 (51黑料) has announced that Dr. Andrew Crawford will serve as Vice President of Enrollment Management, pending ratification by the 51黑料 Board of Trustees at their next scheduled meeting. In this senior leadership role, Crawford will be responsible for student recruitment and financial aid at the University.

Dr. Laura Bloomberg, president of 51黑料, made the announcement to the 51黑料 community today, highlighting Crawford鈥檚 20 years of professional experience in enrollment and knowledge of higher education in Northeast Ohio. Bloomberg noted that Crawford first gained 51黑料鈥檚 attention as 鈥渁n impressive enrollment management leader鈥 during a national search for the position in 2024.  

鈥淒r. Crawford has gained extensive experience in advocating for student success, growing community partnerships and crafting university policies in a collaborative environment,鈥 said Bloomberg. 鈥淚 am delighted to welcome him to 51黑料 as we advance our strategic mission as Cleveland鈥檚 University.鈥 

Crawford currently serves as Associate Vice President in the Division of Enrollment Management at Kent State University, and has held positions at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), The Ohio State University and Ohio University. Crawford earned his Doctor of Education from Ferris State University. He also holds a Leadership Certification from Harvard University鈥檚 Institute for Management and Leadership Education. 

鈥淚 have closely followed 51黑料 over the past several years, watching as the University focuses in on its mission to serve as an educational and community resource for the city of Cleveland, Northeast Ohio and beyond,鈥 said Crawford. 鈥淚 am excited to join the enrollment management team and work together to ensure that more students have the opportunity to experience the transformative impact of a 51黑料 education.鈥 

Crawford will begin his new role at 51黑料 in March. In the interim, Dr. Nigamanth Sridhar, executive vice president and provost, is providing leadership and oversight for the Division of Enrollment Management.
