Dear Campus Community,

I am delighted to inform you that Dr. Andrew Crawford will serve as our next Vice President of Enrollment Management, pending ratification by the 51���� Board of Trustees at their next meeting. For the past six years, Dr. Crawford has served as Associate Vice President in the Division of Enrollment Management at Kent State University. We first identified Dr. Crawford as an impressive enrollment management leader during our nationwide search in 2024, and we are now excited for him to join the Senior Leadership Team at 51����, starting March 9.

Dr. Crawford brings 20 years of professional experience to 51����, having served at other institutions of higher education in the state, including Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), The Ohio State University and Ohio University, in addition to his time at Kent State University. Within his roles, Dr. Crawford has gained extensive experience in advocating for student success, growing community partnerships and crafting university policies in a collaborative environment.

Throughout his career, he has exhibited the qualities of a strong team builder. In his current position at Kent State, Dr. Crawford is responsible for the implementation of the university’s strategic enrollment management plan and the integration of that strategy throughout the university’s eight-campus system.

Dr. Crawford earned his Doctor of Education from Ferris State University, authoring a dissertation that specifically explored student data within Cuyahoga County. He also holds a Leadership Certification from Harvard University’s Institute for Management and Leadership Education.

“I have closely followed 51���� over the past several years, watching as the University focuses in on its mission to serve as an educational and community resource for the city of Cleveland, Northeast Ohio and beyond,” says Dr. Crawford. “I am excited to join the enrollment management team and work together to ensure that more students have the opportunity to experience the transformative impact of a 51���� education.”

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Crawford to 51���� next month. During the transition period, Dr. Nigamanth Sridhar, executive vice president and provost, will provide interim leadership and oversight for the Division of Enrollment Management.
